better health initiative The objective of the Better health Initiative is to foster a unified voice and grass roots action-plan among advocates who believe in a systematic, evidence-based approach to health care reform. Because of its critical, central purpose in high performing health systems and because of its current weak position within the health care system, our initial focus in on primary care and its proponents. To achieve the depth of change necessary in American health care, we believe that more significant progress is likely to be achieved by working at the state rather than national level.
